An Egyptian bronze striding figure of Amun, Late Period, c. 664 - 332 BC, wearing short kilt, feathered headdress and a false beard. The god strides with left foot forward, left hand grasping a staff which is now lost, right arm pendant at side. H: 4 3/4 in (12 cm). Some deposits. Mounted on antique stone base. Ex collection of Maj. James Findlay, Scotland, acquired in the 1950's-60's, thence by descent.
