An Egyptian faience amulet of the sky god Shu, Late Period - Ptolemaic, c. 664 - 30 BC, the god is depicted kneeling on integral base, hands held overhead as he supports the weight of the sky, vertical plinth on back with horizontal suspension hole behind shoulders. H: 20 mm. Well-preserved with nice light blue glaze. Mounted on a rectangular black wood base. Ex Los Angeles private collection.
