An Egyptian pale green glazed bicolor ushabti, 3rd Intermediate period, 21st Dynasty, c. 1075 - 945 BC, mummiform, wearing lappet wig with looped fillet, arms folded at chest and holding a pick and hoe, netted bag at center of back and vertical column of hieroglyphic text down the front of the torso and legs. H: 3 3/4 in (9.5 cm). Pale green glaze and black text and details. Ex collection of Maj. James Findlay, Scotland, acquired in the 1950's-60's, thence by descent.
