An Egyptian polychrome painted wood coffin mask,
Third Intermediate Period, circa 1069-715 B.C.,
with much of the gesso-painted polychrome decoration remaining, the outline of the eyes, pupils and sclera clearly delineated, with partial traces of the painted motifs remaining on the wig, 23.5cm high, a modern hook at the back for attachment.
