An Egyptian scarab set into a nice gold ring. The scarab, 3rd Intermediate, c. 1075 - 664 BC, the body nicely carved with brilliant blue glaze, the base with pseudo cartouche flanked by signs of luck and well-being. The scarab is set in a modern 10k gold ring and is wearable and sturdy. Scarab measures 17 x 13 mm, ring size about 5 1/2. Ex Leicester, UK private collection.
