An Egyptian steatite scarab, New Kingdom, Ramesside, c. 1200 - 1075 BC, the body nicely carved, on the base, deity standing before an amuletic cartouche of Thutmose III reading 'men-kheper-ra'. 21 x 16 mm. Holed lengthwise for suspension. Ex Cheshire, UK private collection, acquired prior to the 1960's.
