An Egyptian stucco/limestone seated priest, Graeco-Roman, c. 1st - 2nd Century AD, on an inscribed seat and with much yellow ochre pigment remaining. The man wears a short wig and kilt, feet together and hands on his lap. A most interesting piece! H: 4 1/4 in (10.8cm). Ex collection of the Czech diplomat Stanislav Kovar (1889-1962).
