With tapering slightly hollow-ground blade with low ridge along the back, double-edged at the point and with copper-filled mark on one side, hilt comprising quillon-block cast and chased with recurved foliated hound's head quillons, faceted agate grip (one 'ear' chipped) of tapering circular section, and engraved silver tang button mount, in later brown scabbard with linear engraved silver locket and chape
