An English Silver-Mounted Hunting Hanger, Late 17th Century, Silver Maker's Mark RF, Possibly Of Richard Fuller
With short curved blade double-edged at the point and deeply struck on each side with a King's head mark retaining traces of gilding, one with London cutlers mark above, 'T' with a dagger above, hilt comprising lobed rear quillon cast on each side with a female head against a finely punched ground, knuckle-guard decorated en suite on both sides and with foliate terminal hooked into the pommel-cap, the latter with borders chased with foliage and with a cherub's mask in relief on top, and natural buckhorn grip with basal collar chased with foliage en suite
