With slightly curved fullered blade double-edged towards the point, the forte etched on both sides (one side pitted) with a panel of strapwork involving a sun-in-splendour in an oval, a running boar in the fuller beyond on one side, a stag (worn) on the other, hilt cast and chased with fluting and comprising scallop shell-guard (rear quillon replaced), knuckle-guard hooked into the domed pommel-cap, and vertically fluted tapering dark horn grip
