designed in 1935 by Paul Dupré-Lafon for Hermès, the central oak column surmounted by a curved tie rack, raised on three brass supports from a red-stained beech hanger, over an articulating red leather shelf, flanked on either side by brass hooks, the leather shelf embossed in gold 'Hermès Paris', 44cm wide 53cm deep 136cm high Literature: T Couvrat Desvergnes, 'Paul Dupré-Lafon, Decorator of millionaires', 1990, p.204.Condition Report The leather with staining throughout to the leather - more noticeable to the hanger. The brassware with scratches, wear, and pitting. The walnut frame with knocks and marks throughout, but in structurally sound and usable condition.
