Eastern Europe, 19th/20th Century. An icon of Christ as the King of Kings, painted on wood, with ornate foil oklad embellished with faux flowers/leaves, in shadowbox frame/kiot. Overall frame 16 1/2" x 15 1/2" x 4 1/4". Condition: there is bending to some of the foil borders, and larger bend/loss to lower left corner; losses/wormholes to inner edge of box, and wear commensurate with age.
