A painted icon of Saint Simeon with the Christ Child, the garments beaded and embroidered velvet, with a foil halo and an ornate foil oklad/liner, white-painted decoration, in a rectangular shadowbox frame/kiot. 13 1/2" x 12 3/4" 3 1/4". Condition: the glass missing, replaced with plastic; the kiot with wear commensurate with age. Provenance: Private Collection, Northern California.
