A painted icon of Saint Simeon with the Christ Child beside an altar, the robes and cloth beaded and embroidered velvet, with an ornate foil liner embellished with faux flower/leaves, and white painted decoration; in scalloped shadowbox frame/kiot. 13 1/2" x 11 1/2" 3 3/4". Condition: the glass missing, replaced with plastic; the kiot with wear commensurate with age. Provenance: Private Collection, Northern California.
