A painted icon of Saint Simeon with the Christ Child, the figure beside an altar, the robes and cloth beaded and embroidered velvet, mounted on an ornate foil liner embellished with faux flower/leaves; in scalloped shadowbox frame/kiot. 10 1/2" x 8 3/4" 3 1/4". Condition: the glass missing, replaced with plastic; losses to the faux flower; kiot with wear commensurate with age. Provenance: Private Collection, Northern California.
