A painted icon of a Guardian Angel, the velvet garments embroidered and beaded, with an ornate foil liner embellished with faux flowers and white painted decoration, in a scalloped shadowbox frame/kiot. 13 1/2" x 11 1/2" x 3 1/4". Condition: a later paper/penciled dove attached on sunburst at top; the kiot with some wormholes and wear commensurate with age. Provenance: Private Collection, Northern California.
