An icon of the Dormition of Theotokos, the Mother of God, painted on wood, with beaded and faux jeweled shroud, mounted on foil-embellished cloth, with an ornate foil liner in a scalloped edge shadowbox frame/kiot. 12 1/4" x 13 3/4" x 3 1/2". Condition: glass missing, replaced with plastic; the kiot with some wormholes to back, old repairs, and wear commensurate with age. Provenance: Private Collection, Northern California.
