An icon of the Dormition of the Theotokos, the Mother of God, painted on wood, with beaded and faux jeweled shroud, with an ornate foil oklad/liner in a scalloped shadowbox frame/kiot; 12" x 13 3/4" x 3 1/2". Condition: the glass missing, replaced with plastic; the kiot with scattered wormholes and wear commensurate with age. Provenance: Private Collection, Northern California.
