A painted icon of the Dormition of the Theotokos, Mother of God, together with Christ holding the swaddled Soul of the Virgin, and a bearded saint; Theotokos with beaded and faux jeweled shroud on a beaded and trimmed foil altar cloth, red velvet sequined curtain, with an ornate foil liner embellished with faux flowers, in a scalloped edge shadowbox frame/kiot. 14" x 12" x 3 1/2". Condition: the kiot some wormholes, and wear commensurate with age. Provenance: Private Collection, Northern California.
