An Indian 'jungle pattern' silver bowl Lucknow, late 19th century Raj period, the circular bowl, with fold over rim, the sides chased in the jungle pattern, the landscape including palm trees, animals include deer, tiger, boar, an elephant with riders, two elephants to the front with trunks entwined, the tress further interpersed with butterfly, birds, the upper and lower bands chased with a continuing band of fish, the underside of the base chased with a basket of flowers, height 16cm, diameter at top 24cm, weight 36.2oz, weight 1127gms.
