Semi sculptural openwork brooch designed as a bouquet of flowers with carved moonstone and amethyst blossoms, opposing scrolls and three moulded foliate droplets. Picked out in polychrome translucent enamel and set with 86 8/8-cut diamonds (ca. 1.40 ct in total), two brilliant-cut diamonds, 12 pink sapphire navettes (inclusions indicate predominantly Burmese origin), two grey cultured pearls (diameter 7.7 mm) and a white baroque South Sea cultured pearl (diameter 10.7 mm). Set in the centre with a milk opal cameo carved with a portrait of a young woman in profile (19.92 x 18.73 mm). Hallmarks: Italian fineness 750, "ITALY 18K", origin mark "1182AL". Total height 8.5 cm. Weight 51.51 g.
