With two-stage barrel turned at the girdle and with octagonal breech (touch-hole repositioned), plain tang, flat bevelled lock engraved with foliage, the cock, pan-bolster and steel all engraved en suite, the interior of the lock engraved 'DM', figured moulded full stock (fore-end with some old repairs) sparsely carved with foliage, chiselled steel mounts comprising pierced side-plate with a figure seated amid scrolling foliage, pierced escutcheon plate with bearded grotesque mask centred between foliated demi-figures, foliate engraved spurred pommel with a grotesque mask on both sides and also forming the pommel-cap, faceted trigger-guard with foliated grotesque mask finial and with a female portrait bust on the bow, faceted ramrod-pipes, the rear one with finial en suite with the trigger-guard finial, replacement belt-hook, trigger serrated at the back, and original steel-tipped ramrod with worm
