European Furniture & Decorative Arts The chair frame is sturdy, but the upholstery needs to be re-done. The seat upholstery is concave and there are old springs and ticking hanging, as well as loose fabric to the seat back and threadbare trim.
The frame has several losses of gilt overall, down to the gesso underlayment in some areas.
