An Italian walnut and marquetry inlaid commode, early 19th century, 96cm high, 131.5cm wide, 61cm deepProvenance: Private collection removed from 9, Royal Crescent, BathCondition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and useThe top appears to be entirely associated, it is presently covered with ripped and torn marbled paper, there are also marks and green felt tip pen marks where perhaps smaller losses and been attempted to be coloured in. Overall this would benefit from full restoration or removal and replacement with marble or similar.
