Description: An Oak Straight-sided Cylindrical Salt, Circa 1800, decorated with incised ring-turned bands and a turned groove above the foot, the flat underside having a pared-off chuck mark, the interior with sloping sides and a rounded base, approx. 2¾'' (7 cm) high, 3½'' (9 cm) in diameter. Together with a 19th Century Sycamore salt of good colour and patination with an everted rim to the shallow bowl and a short stem over a stepped circular foot, 2½'' (6.5 cm) high, 2½'' (6.5 cm) in diameter.
