An Oribe type chaire. Mino province. Early Edo period
Of katatsuki type on a flat base with irokiri, the body covered by a thin beige-coloured glaze with iron brown dots farranged into stylized plum blossoms and a greenish overglaze. Ivory lid. Shifuku of purple chirimen, turned shitan box (hikiya) with sarasa shifuku and kiri box with a Japanese collector's label and number.
