An Ottoman prayerbook, signed al-Faqir [Ahmad?] and dated 1080AH/1670AD, Turkey, Arabic manuscript on paper, 81ff., with 9ll. of neat black naskh within gold rule per page, gold roundel verse markers, with seven sleepers of Ephesus, opening with Qur’an VI (sura al-an’am), and including other suras, prayers for the seven days of the week, the Asma al-Husna and ending with two finely illuminated hilyehs, original brown tooled binding, the central medallions and spandrels with meandering floriated vine on a gilt ground, folio 14.2 x 9.5cm.
