An Ottoman silver sahlep cup, cover and stand, Tughra and sah marks, circa 1900, later Egyptian marks for 1946-47, with a bird and foliate finial to the stepped domed cover, a peacock-capped scroll handle, the cylindrical body pierced and flower engraved, a plain liner, on a circular pedestal foot, 16cm (6 1/4in) high, 487g (15.65 oz)
