Title: An Outstanding Marquetry Game Table Coffee Table
Provenance/Additional Info: This is an outstanding marquetry game table or coffee table. The design and workmanship are beautiful. The top has a checkerboard in the center, with a pieced double border. This is flanked by two sunbursts, a wave pattern, and then a triple border. The sides, ends, legs, and lower shelf are all decorated. The edge of the top is finished with decorative tacks, and the surface is a clear lacquer or varnish. The table stands 19 1/2" high by 38 1/4" by 24 1/2". Age is unknown, maybe from the 1930's. It is in excellent condition with a few small scratches.
