An Unusual and Scarce Second World War South African Red Cross Group of Medals, South African Medal for War Service, unnamed as issued, Voluntary Medical Services Medal, “ANNIE BOLTON”, South Africa Red Cross Society Gold Proficiency Medal, 2 clasps, General First Aid and Home Nursing, enamel South Africa Red Cross Society 3-year service medallion (reverse numbered ‘14’) with a South Africa Red Cross Society enamel badge fixed to the ribbon, Springbok reception badge comprising a round badge, top bar and clasp stating Springbok Reception, the last with no ribbon. The gold Proficiency Medal is marked 9CT on the reverse as is the Home Nursing clasp and top pin bar. The General First Aid clasp looks to be silver, but we have been unable to find any marks, and it has not been tested.
