An antique silver and gold, diamond set Flemish/Vlaams heart brooch, late 18th - early 19th century; the openwork foliate mount set with foiled rose cut diamonds, suspending a central dangling heart drop set with a larger rose cut diamond. The surmount in the form of a trophy with a crossing arrow, quiver and flaming torch. In unmarked silver with gold detailing. Later brooch fittings, pendant bale deficient, 41mm x 66mm 22.67g Condition Report: Two small rose cut diamond chips deficient from the surmount. Substantial wear to most diamonds. These pieces are usually hallmarked on the bale - no longer present in this one. Later brooch fittings, with solder marks.
