An early 19c eight day longcase clock the associated 12in arched brass dial signed Lawson, Newton and having female head spandrels, moon phase, seconds and date dials. The four pillar movement is rack striking on a bell and has anchor escapement. It is contained in an oak and mahogany case with swan neck pediments to the hood and turned baluster columns flanking the dial. The trunk has fluted quarter columns flanking the rectangular trunk door which has a fixed panel below it. Both have edge banding of mahogany as has the plain base which has a wavy bottom edge and inset feet. The clock stands 225cm tall overall.
