An early 20th century 15ct gold amethyst, demantoid garnet and split pearl brooch. Of openwork design, the cushion-shape amethyst, with circular-shape demantoid garnet and split pearl scrolling surround. Length 2.8cms. Weight 4.2gms. This piece contains the green, white and violet hues associated with the Suffragette movement. Purchasing information Overall condition good. Surface scratches in keeping with general age and wear. Amethyst is a pale purple hue, fairly well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions.

Demantoid garnets are a medium yellowish green hue, fairly well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions.
