An early 20th century 18ct gold diamond and split pearl brooch. The old-cut diamond and split pearl cluster, to the split pearl curved bar sides and heart terminals. Length 4.8cms. Weight 5.1gms. Purchasing information Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. One split pearl deficient. Replacement clasp. Pin stamped 9ct, pin dented. Estimated diamond weight under 0.10ct.

Size and setting of diamond prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

Diamond chipped to girdle. Split pearls fairly well matched, some variation in colour and wear. Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns. Fellows does not guarantee the standard of gold or platinum unless an item is hallmarked.
