An early 20th century 18ct gold split pearl necklace. The split pearl star and crescent motif, to the graduated split pearl alternating star and circle sides and split pearl back-chain. Length 39cms. Weight 19.3gms.
Condition Report: Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
Few split pearls discoloured.
Split pearls are mostly a well matched pearly white hue. Varied surface lustre and finish. Many with either glue to the surface or noticeable surface wear. Two split pearls chipped.
Many probable replacement split pearls, wear to the collets.
Crescent panel with hook to reverse to suspend a pendant.
