Agassiz, Geneva, Switzerland, an early 20th century pocket chronograph with instantaneous minute register, 18 jewels, stem wind and set, cotes de Geneve decorated nickel plate movement with lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, and whiplash micrometric regulator, in a gold filled, hinged back and bezel, plain polished open face case with engraved monogram on rear cover, arabic numeral, outer red 5-minute markers, double sunk white enamel dial with 30 minute register at 12:00 and plum colored steel spade and poker hands, serial #125453, 52.5mm
Condition Report: CASE: Dings and small dents; Fine scratches on outer surface of case; Fine scratches on cuvette; Localized case knife marks; Gold filled with moderate brassing; Crown worn. DIAL: Fine scratches. HANDS: Minute with minor oxide. MOVEMENT PLATES: Very fine scratches on plate; Some chronograph components with specks of oxide; Regulator assembly with a few specks of oxide; Column wheel cap with a few scratches. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks). COMPLICATION:Chronograph starts, stops, and returns the chronograph hand to zero as it should; Minute register returns to zero only after cycling through the functions a second time, needs service, circa 1915
