An early 20th century Austrian metalwares silver and enamel powder compact, marked 935 MADE IN AUSTRIA STERLING SILVER 831, no further apparent marks, of octagonal form, underside in pale blue guilloché enamel with decorated upper and lower bezels in white and red enamel, piano hinged cover depicting an evening scene with a kneeling gentleman kissing the hand of a lady in front of wrought iron gates, with putti observing, decorative thumbpiece, interior with engine turned plate over the powder reservoir with associated 3 position slider, mirrored interior of cover, marked 831 behind the mirror, 6 x 6cm, 97.6g gross, presented with chamois applicator
