An early 20th century Chinese export silver cocktail shaker, Shanghai dated 1932 by Xing retailed by Zee Wo
Of tapering cylindrical form with a pull off inverted baluster lid surmounted by a pull of cylindrical cap. A vacant circular cartouche to the side otherwise with matted decoration. Engraved to the base of lid with presentation inscription reading “Presented to J. W. Barrow by Former Associates – C.P. Gabbott, E.M. Gran, N. N Emanoff, F. Shaffer, J. B. Watson – Shanghai 18-4-1932”. Marked underneath with artisan mark 興 (Xing) and retailer’s mark ZEEWO.
