An early 20th century cat-form silver gilt minaudière, the rectangular box realistically chased with a seated long-haired cat to the hinged cover, with ruby eyes, ruby necklace with ruby bow which extends to the reverse where the ruby necklace can just be seen, the tail and left ear extend past the perimeter of the box with two centred hinged inner compartments to the cover, with a hinged mirror and notepad to the base with a sprung trefoil clasp, cabochon ruby-set thumbpiece and with oval link chain handle, 8.3cm high
