An early 20th century continental 14 carat gold combination cigarette and vesta case, circa 1910 stamped for Rozet & Fischmeister of Vienna
Of rectangular form with curved corners, the exterior with zig-zag engine turned decoration and engine turned trailing laurel leaf sides, the two compartment lids with flush hinges raised by sugar loaf cut almandite garnet thumbpieces. The side with match striker. The interior with engraved cipher of AAS. Stamped to the interior with 585 and retailers stamp.
