Hamilton Watch Co., Lancaster, Penn., for Anna Silveira, San Francisco, an early 20th century "975" pocket watch with diamond set gold case, 17 jewel, stem wind and lever set, adjusted, damascened nickel plate movement with lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, and whiplash micrometric regulator in a 14 karat, yellow gold, engraved hunting case with applied four color gold ornament, and set with 27 diamonds, arabic numeral, single sunk O'Hara style multicolor enamel dial with fancy gilt hands, serial #873221,112.9g TW, with bark grain leather covered Hamilton box
Condition Report: CASE: Shows extra case screw marks; A few minor dents; Fine scratches on outer surface of case; Fine scratches on cuvette; Engraving with minor wear; Cover extends beyond 90 degrees when opened, front, 100 deg.; Center tube of front hinge strained and with short split; Front cover with minor gap at band when closed; Crown worn; Diamonds tested; Precious metal content marked. DIAL: Two cracks originating at 4 - 5:00; One short crack at seconds bit. HANDS: Minute replaced. MOVEMENT PLATES: Very fine scratches on plate; A few more significant scratches on barrel bridge; Gouge at one barrel bridge screw; Minor gouging and scratches at case screws; ratchet wheel with marks and fine scratches; Winding wheels with specks of oxide; Crown wheel core with fine scratches; Regulator assembly with specks of oxide; MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks).
