An early 20th century gold amethyst, diamond and seed pearl brooch. The rectangular-shape amethyst, with seed pearl and old-cut diamond spacer and geometric halo. Estimated dimensions of amethyst 23.1 by 16.8 by 12mms. Estimated total diamond weight 0.40ct. Length 3.8cms. Weight 17.8gms.
Condition Report: Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
One seed pearl deficient.
Seed pearls untested for natural origin.
Seed pearls vary slightly in hue and lustre. Some glue visible.
Diamonds bright.
Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
Amethyst medium purple, fairly well saturated, with good clarity.
Amethyst in good condition with minor abrasion and nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.
