An early 20th century gold diamond, ruby and sapphire
An early 20th century gold diamond, ruby and sapphire hinged bangle. Designed as a rose-cut diamond, sapphire, ruby and pink sapphire pansy, with rose-cut diamond stem, atop the plain bangle. Principal diamond weight 0.34ct. Inner diameter 5.7cms. Weight 8.7gms.
Condition Report: Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
Appears to have been recently polished.
Possible replacement gems.
Total ruby weight 0.61ct. Total blue sapphire weight 0.39ct.
Diamonds bright.
Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
Principal diamond with eye-visible light inclusions.
Non-principal diamonds with some small inclusions under 10x magnification.
Rubies are a well matched medium pinkish red hue, well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions.
Blue sapphires are a well matched deep, medium slightly violets blue hue, with good clarity and typical inclusions.
Stones in good condition with minor abrasions.
Length of floral cluster 1.6cms.
