An early 20th century platinum and gold, sapphire five-stone ring. The graduated cushion-shape sapphire line, with openwork gallery. Verbal from GCS, stating basaltic, no heat. Estimated dimensions of largest sapphire 6.6 by 5 by 3.6mms. Ring size U. Weight 2.7gms. Purchasing information Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Band has been resized, slight dents. Piece has been rhodium plated at some stage. Some claws slightly dented, show wear. Sapphires are a well matched, deep medium, fairly vibrant blue hue. Estimated dimensions of smaller sapphire 4.4 by 4 by 2.4mms.
