An early George III silver hot water pot, of bellied form raised upon a spreading circular foot, with later chased floral and foliate decoration to the whole, with a foliate capped scroll handle having ivory insulators, and conforming decoration to hinged lid. Hallmarked Lewis Herne & Francis Butty, London 1764. Height 8.75" (22.25cm), gross weight 13ozt (405.4 grams).
Condition Report:
- In overall good condition, displaying general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.
- Lower handle fixing pin missing, causing slight movement to handle.
