Rounded box with original domed lid. The outer surface painted with Chinoiserie scenes in four sumptous strapwork surrounds with purple and iron red feathers. The lid with gilt lace border and four Chinoiserie figures, insects, and indianische blumen. Blue crossed swords mark, 44. in gold (box and lid). Some minor chips. H 10.5, D 10.7 cm.
