An early Victorian silver dish, of circular pierced form with applied scroll rim, vacant shield cartouche, removable clear glass liner and raised upon four foliate mounted scroll feet, hallmarked Edward, Edward junior, John & William Barnard, London 1843, diameter measuring 3 2/8 inches (8.5 cm). Together with a late Victorian silver dish, of pierced shaped form with bow, scroll and floral motifs and raised upon a pierced footed base, hallmarked William Comyns & Sons, London 1894. Gross weight exclusive of liner 5.5 ozt (172.1 grams). (2). In good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Minor nibbles to the clear glass liner. The rim of the late Victorian dish appears clipped slightly to one side with remnants of polish visible to the pierced foot. Hallmarks slightly rubbed but still legible.
