[ translate ]

An early Victorian silver salver of circular form, the raised and scrolled rim interspersed with mask detail, enclosing an engraved riverside scene with figures on a boat in the foreground and a castle behind, and raised on three scrolled feet. Hallmarked Joseph Angell I & Joseph Angell II, London 1847. Diameter 11.25" (28.5cm), weight 20.59 ozt (640.3 grams).

Condition Report:
- Displaying expected surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing and a couple of minor surface dints. In need of some attention.
- Several solder repairs are visible on the underside. Blobs of solder seen at some of the joins around the rim. Including a heavy solder repair on one side of one foot.
- Further small holes and cracks visible at the weakest points around the rim.
- Some surface wear and rubbing both to the relief and engraved decoration causing some significant loss of detail or definition. More so to the engraved scene as parts are now very faint, especially the castle in the background.
- The centre of the salver does have some movement, when pushed in will spring back.
- Hallmarked to the underside, some light rubbing but otherwise in good order.
- Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
