An early Victorian sterling silver gilt and dendritic agate snuff box, London 1841, makers mark obscured possibly RM, for Richard Mosely (reg. Feb 1835)
Of rectangular form with canted corners, the silver gilt edge mounts with engraved decoration of foliate scrolls and lattice reserves. The top panel with chamfered edges, the base panel flat. Fully marked to the base flange and part-marks to the lid.
