An early twentieth century silver shell butter dish, of fluted lobed form with wavy rim, high arch scroll handle and raised upon three stylised feet. Hallmarked Harrison Brothers & Howson (George Howson), Sheffield 1913. Maximum width measuring 4 5/8 inches (12 cm), weight 4.3 ozt (134.5 grams). In good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Small remnants of polish visible. Hallmarks clear and legible, further marked Rd 624358.
